Day Surgery, increasingly safe and effective thanks to minimally invasive techniques, is growing in specialties such as hand surgery, vascular surgery and angiology, proctology, gynaecology, and dermatology. Surgeries are quick, performed as early as the second access, and allow for a fast convalescence at home and a speedy recovery.
PCM was founded in Modena in 1995 as a centre with a mainly ophthalmological vocation: it was one of the first centres to perform refractive surgery with excimer lasers. Since its early years, PCM has strongly believed in the advantages of Day Surgery and in the possibilities of minimally invasive surgery in a growing number of specialties, to meet the demands of a constantly growing number of patients.
Thanks to cutting-edge technological equipment and highly specialized doctors, the Centre is now operative in more than 28 specialities. In addition to ophthalmology, today PCM is also a national leader in vestibology, urogynaecology and proctology. After joining the Lifenet Group in June 2022, the PCM Ophthalmology Centre became the Modena branch of the Eyecare Clinic network, which already has Centres in Milan and Brescia. A name that guarantees patients standards of excellence in terms of diagnosis, care, and treatment of the main eye diseases and of solutions for vision problems.
