FROM MAY 13 TO JUNE 6, A CERVICAL CANCER PREVENTION CAMPAIGN WAS HELD AT FACILITIES IN ALBANO LAZIALE AND APRILIA
The cervical cancer prevention campaign held from May 13 to June 6 at the Regina Apostolorum and City of Aprilia Hospital was a great success. The initiative, which was taken up by numerous newspapers including the Latina Editoriale Oggi website, was carried out in collaboration with FIMMG Lazio.
Several women came to the Lazio facilities where they were able to have a free Pap test.
In the case of an altered pap smear, health care staff immediately contacted patients who were offered a free gynecological consultation.
“Performing the Pap test as a preventive tool is absolutely recommended for all women between the ages of 25 and 64,” said Gabriele Coppa, general manager of the two hospital facilities in Albano Laziale and Aprilia . “Thanks to this campaign, we have offered our patients the chance to keep a dangerous and malignant cancer such as that of the uterus under control.”
