A change in leadership has been announced at Erba Hospital, where Dr. Riccardo Bertoletti has been appointed as the new Medical Director. He has succeeded Dr. Raffaele Morrone, who has left the position for personal reasons after a positive period of collaboration.
Dr. Bertoletti has brought with him long and solid experience in both the public healthcare sector and accredited private healthcare. He was born in Sondrio in 1959 and graduated with honours from the University of Pavia.
He has obtained three specialisations in Respiratory Diseases, Allergology, and Occupational Medicine.
Throughout his career, he has held important leadership roles, including Medical Director of the Valduce Hospital in Como from 2021 to 2025 He has also worked at ASST Mantova and has managed the facilities of ASST Valtellina and Alto Lario.
The General Director, Vincenzo Trovato, has expressed satisfaction with the appointment, stating that the new director’s experience represents an important asset for the consolidation and development of hospital services. He has also highlighted the institution’s commitment to organisational innovation and the quality of care.
Dr. Bertoletti has stated that he has taken on the role with a strong sense of responsibility and with the aim of improving clinical and organisational processes.
He has affirmed that he will work to strengthen the integration between technical excellence and patient care, in close collaboration with all medical and nursing staff.
Finally, the management has thanked Dr. Morrone for his work and has wished him all the best for the future, recognising the value of the path they have shared.
