Two cutting-edge instruments are now operational at Aprilia City Hospital: a new 128-slice
CT scanner and a remote-controlled digital system, marking a quality leap in diagnostics
and patient care. The new equipment enables high-resolution imaging in reduced
timeframes, increasing diagnostic precision and service efficiency.
The latest generation CT scanner, equipped with advanced technologies and designed for
sustainability, provides detailed images with reduced radiation doses. The wide tunnel and
ergonomic table ensure patient comfort, while rapid scans and customizable protocols
improve safety and clinical adaptability. Integrated with the IntelliSpace workstation, the CT
scanner enables advanced image management, available in both paper and digital
formats.
Among the main innovations is the ability to perform high-quality Cardiac CT
investigations, with detailed analysis of coronary arteries, allowing accurate assessment of
stenosis and atherosclerotic plaques. The remote-controlled digital system also enables
real-time dynamic investigations for functional studies of the gastrointestinal tract.
The technological investment has also involved the Emergency Department, now
equipped with an 80-slice CT scanner to handle emergencies with speed and efficiency.
“The new CT scanner offers greater speed, better diagnostic quality, and radiation

expansion of services and the ability to respond more precisely to clinical demands.
