This initiative was launched with the goal of collecting used or new eyeglasses at several healthcare facilities belonging to the Lifenet Healthcare group, to be donated to the Francesca Rava Foundation. The collected eyeglasses will be distributed, through solidarity networks, to children and adults in need in Italy and subsequently abroad.
The Lifenet Foundation ETS will handle, at its own expense, the careful labeling of each pair of eyeglasses, specifying the technical features of the lenses (prescription, type, etc.).
Collection will take place at the following Lifenet group facilities: Eyecare Clinic Brescia, Eyecare Clinic Milano, Poliambulatorio Clinico Modenese, Ospedale di Erba, Centro Medico Lazzaro Spallanzani in Reggio Emilia, Siena Eyelaser, and Piccole Figlie Hospital in Parma.
The eyeglasses will then be shipped to facilities across Italy connected with the Francesca Rava Foundation that support children, vulnerable families, and people in fragile conditions, as well as to the NPH homes in Central America represented by the Francesca Rava Foundation (Haiti, Dominican Republic, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Peru, Bolivia, and Mexico).
